47mm Membrane Filter, MCE, 0.22m, Individually Wrapped, Sterile

MS MCE (Mixed Cellulose Ester) membrane filters are composed of cellulose acetate and cellulose nitrate, offering a biologically inert structure ideal for microbiological and analytical workflows. With a smoother and more uniform surface than pure nitrocellulose, these filters provide excellent particle visibility and low background interference.

Key Features

  • Composed of cellulose acetate and cellulose nitrate for biological inertness
  • Smooth and uniform surface for enhanced particle detection
  • Gridded options available with 3.1mm spacing for easy colony counting
  • White filters ideal for general microbial analysis, including E. coli in water testing
  • Sterile and individually wrapped for contamination-free sampling

Optimised for Microbiological Testing

MS MCE membrane filters are widely used in colony counting applications after incubation. The optional printed grid aids manual or automated colony analysis and helps reduce eye strain during counting. White filters provide excellent contrast for general microbial detection, while black variants support yeast, mould, and Legionella studies. All filters are manufactured to high quality standards to ensure consistent performance in critical microbiological testing.
