It's also used in the production of dyes, paper, plastics, and some cosmetics and toiletries. Additionally, acrylamide is used in grout, adhesives, and as a chemical grouting agent.

Frequent Uses

Water Treatment
Polyacrylamides, derived from acrylamide, are used as flocculants to clarify drinking water and treat municipal and industrial wastewater. 

Oil Industry
Acrylamide is used as a flow control agent in enhanced oil recovery and as an additive in drilling fluids. 

Dyes
It is a component in the production of various dyes and other organic chemicals. 

Plastics
Used in the production of certain plastics and as a component in permanent-press fabrics.
