What is Diethylamine? Sometimes shortened to DEA, it is a chemical intermediate with a wide range of industrial and pharmaceutical uses, including the production of insect repellents (like DEET), and dyes, as well as functioning as a rubber accelerator and a component in pharmaceuticals and corrosion inhibitors. It also plays a role in the manufacturing of wash-and-wear fabrics and plasticisers. In medicine, DEA is found as a component in topical analgesics and anti-inflammatories, such as diethylamine salicylate and diclofenac diethylamine, to enhance absorption of the active ingredients.
Consistent Quality: We source only high-quality Diethylamine ensuring reliable performance in any application.
Shipped from Manchester, UK Facility: Sourced and bottled in secure, chemical-resistant containers to guarantee safe handling and transport.
Rubber Chemicals
Used as a raw material for primary accelerators, such as ZDDC (Zinc Diethyl Dithio Carbamate), which helps speed up rubber vulcanisation.
Dyes and Coatings
A component in the production of various dyes and intermediates, such as p-Diethylamine Benzaldehyde.
Plastics
Used as a urethane chain stopper, a plasticiser for cellulose acetate, and an intermediate for stabilising plastic monomers.
Corrosion Inhibitors
A precursor to other corrosion inhibitors, such as N,N-diethylaminoethanol.
