Biochemical Reasearch
A crucial component in cell culture, used in yeast dropout media and differential reinforced clostridial broth. It's also a precursor to glutathione, a vital antioxidant in cells.

Pharmaceutical
Utilised in drug delivery systems to enhance the solubility and bioavailability of certain medications. It also plays a role in supporting hepatic function and detoxification processes.

Food Industry
Used as a dough conditioner in baking, improving dough machinability and the final product's texture and shelf life.
