Polymerisation
Used in the production of polymers, lacquers, adhesives, waxes, and polishes. 

Sunscreens
Has been used as a sunscreen ingredient to absorb ultraviolet (UV) light. 

Pharmaceutical
Used as a mild analgesic and antiseptic. It can also be used as a coating for pills, allowing for enteric release.
