Simax sintered glass discs are manufactured from borosilicate glass and designed for use in filtration, gas dispersion, and support applications within laboratory assemblies. These discs are produced by fusing finely graded glass particles to create a rigid, porous structure with consistent permeability.
Porosity 0 represents the coarsest standard porosity grade. This means the disc contains relatively large pore channels compared to higher porosity grades, allowing faster flow rates and reduced resistance. Porosity 0 discs are typically used where particle retention is not the primary objective, but where even distribution, support, or coarse filtration is required.
Available in diameters from 10mm to 210mm, these discs are suitable for integration into custom glassware, filtration units, and gas washing or dispersion systems.
