What is Soap Solution (Wanklyn's)? Wanklyn's Soap Solution is a standard aqueous solution of sodium soap, used primarily in titration methods for determining water hardness and the presence of calcium and magnesium ions. It is a clear, colourless liquid prepared by dissolving soap (sodium stearate or sodium oleate) in water.
