In addition to its use in chromatography, THF is also used in a variety of other applications, including:

  • As a solvent in polymer chemistry and organic synthesis
  • In the production of PVC and other plastics
  • In the manufacture of adhesives, coatings, and inks
  • As a starting material for the production of tetrahydrofuran-2-methanol (THF-2-methanol), which is used as a gasoline additive to reduce emissions

Tetrahydrofuran (THF) 99.97% HPLC is a high-purity grade solvent that is commonly used in chromatography applications. It is a colorless, water-miscible, and highly volatile organic compound with a low boiling point. THF is known for its excellent solvating ability and is often used as a polar aprotic solvent due to its ability to dissolve a wide range of organic and inorganic compounds.
